Online Retail Purchases – 30-Day Return Policy
We offer a 30-day return policy on most items purchased from northwestcanoe.com.
- Return Window: You may return eligible items within 30 days of the delivery date for a refund or exchange.
- Eligibility: Items must be in new, unused condition, with all original packaging, tags, and accessories intact. Proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt) is required.
- Non-Returnable Items: Due to hygiene, safety, and product nature, the following are non-returnable except in cases of defect or damage:
- Special-order or custom items.
- Clearance or final-sale items (noted on product page).
- Defective or Damaged Items: If your item arrives damaged or defective, contact us immediately (within 7 days of receipt is ideal) at info@northwestcanoe.com with photos and order details. We will provide instructions for return or replacement at no cost to you.
- Return Process:
- Contact us via email or phone to request a return.
- Pack the item securely in its original packaging (or equivalent).
- Ship the item back to us (with receipt). Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the return is due to our error (wrong item, damage in transit, etc.).
- Once we receive and inspect the item, we will process your refund to the original payment method (typically within 7-10 business days) or issue an exchange/store credit.
- Refunds: Refunds exclude original shipping charges. Sale items may be eligible for store credit only.
- Exchanges: Subject to availability. We recommend contacting us before returning to check stock.
We inspect all returns upon receipt. Items not meeting our conditions may be refused or subject to restocking fees.
Canoe Repair Shop – Completed Boat Pickup Policy
For customers who bring their canoe or kayak to our repair shop for service:
- Pickup Window: You will be notified (via phone or email) when your boat repair is complete and ready for pickup. You have 2 weeks (14 days) from the date of notification to pick up your completed boat at no additional charge.
- Storage Fees: If your boat is not picked up within 2 weeks, a storage fee of $10 per week will begin accruing. Fees are calculated weekly and added to your final invoice.
- Abandoned Property: If your boat remains unclaimed after 90 days from the completion notification date, it will be considered abandoned property. At that point, Northwest Canoe reserves the right to take full ownership of the boat, which may be sold, donated, or disposed of to cover unpaid repair/storage fees and related costs. No further notice will be provided after the 90-day period.
- Payment & Pickup: All repair charges and any accrued storage fees must be paid in full before release of the boat. We accept [list payment methods, e.g., cash, credit card, check]. Boats will not be released until payment is received. A 3.5% credit card fee is assessed with each transaction.

We make every effort to communicate completion status promptly. Delays in pickup can impact our shop space and other customers—thank you for your understanding.
